Tony Giannoni

Tony Giannoni, received his Bachelor of Science-Psychology in 2005 from the University of Florida and most recently his Masters of Arts In Performance Psychology from National University in 2018.
He has been coaching Tennis for over 15 years. 
In 2018 Tony turned his coaching and playing skills to Pickleball.

Women’s Tennis Assistant Coach- University of Oregon July 2014-2017

Awards: 
ITA Assistant Coach of the Year Northwest Region 2017

Team Accomplishments: 
Made NCAA for the first time in ten years (2017).
Recruited highest ranked American and International player in program history (2016-2017).
Wins over various top 40 nationally ranked team including UW, USC, UCLA, VT, OU (2014-2017).
Highest finish in program history in the PAC-12 conference at #5 (2017).
Reached the semi-final round of the PAC-12 team tournament (2017).
First time in program history to beat UCLA (2017).
First time in program history to beat USC (2017).
Went from #299 to #56 in the national team rankings in the first year at Oregon.
Highest team ranking #28 (2015-2016).
#18 recruiting class in the nation, highest in program history (2015).
Developed 6 unranked singles players and 5 unranked doubles teams to national rankings (2015-2017).

Women’s Tennis Assistant Coach- University of Central Florida July 2009-May 2014

Team Accomplishments:
2009 opened the dual-match season by going 9-2, marking its best start since 1998-99.
Jenny Frisell was routinely ranked among the top singles players in the country, including a No. 83 ranking during the 2009-10 season.
Taylor Dubins led the team with 18 singles victories and ended the season with a seven-match winning streak.
14 victories in 2012-13, marking its most wins since the 1999-00 season.
Freshman Caroline Eberhart racked up 25 singles victories, placing her fourth on the Knights' single-season record book.
Genevieve Lorbergs climbed to ninth with 22 victories.
Lorbergs and Josephine Haraldson notched 20 doubles victories, which were just one shy of matching the school record. 
Lorbergs earned All-C-USA First Team.


Women’s Tennis Volunteer Assistant Coach- University of Florida August 2007-May 2009

Team Accomplishments: 
07-08 NCAA semifinal appearance,  SEC Regular Season Champion 11-0
08-09 NCAA round of 16 appearance


Tennis Instructor/Manager January 2005-May 2009

Successfully continued clubs record for supporting the largest junior and adult tennis program in Gainesville.


Professional Tennis Coach - Alex Bogomolov Jr. and Marrit Boonstra

Coached Alex Bogomolov Jr.(ATP) during summer 2001 he went on to win Nationals at Kalmazoo and turned pro immediately.
Coached Marrit Boonstra Summer 2012 to two Dutch National Championships.
She beat several WTA players ranked as high as 250 in the world.
